The board is covered with multicolor LEDs which glows according to the player piece placement within the game. when played under dim lighting conditions the game can be very much appealing.
Forget the time you used to roll a real dice. We can play this board game using a digital dice , whenever u press a button on our Dice the dice randomly gives a value between 1 to 6 and displays it on a bright lcd display. Isn't it cool?
MUSIC AND AUDIO FEEDBACK
During the game, few game states are constantly being monitored and send to computer which runs a python script that plays audio clips according to the game state makes the board game more fun. How better can it get?
Arduino Due is used to track the players placement from based on the switches closed on the board from the players and sends computer the game Started as it has large amount of IO pins. Arduino Nano is also used to make a electronic dice which displays a number from 1 to 6 whenever the button on its board is pressed
LED and LCD
MultiColor LEDs are placed all over the ludo board which wired from underneath the play pieces have conducive foil underneeth them which closed the circuit and glows whenever a piece is placed over it and also gives feedback to Arduino Due which observes some of the boxes in the game . And 16x2 LCD is used to display the Dice roll results from the Arduino Nano.
A DC-DC Buck converter (LM2596) is used to deliver constant voltage (2.7v) to the leds from a 12v source. an IOExtender (PCF8574) used to reduce number of GPIO pins required and run the LCD on I2C protocal from Arduino Nano .
